Post an acclimatisng stay at Shimla, we drive after breakfast the next morning for about 4 hours/ 112 kms to reach Rohru outskirts for our overnight and base abode.


With Pabbar river flowing through, the gurgling sound of water at night and the shimmer during daytime is mesmerising; angling opportunities exist.
The number of visitors to this place are very select and those who have been here call it a hidden gem or a place equal to paradise on earth. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, it is truly a breathtaking place to visit.
A day visit to Chanshal and /or a 3 hour one way trek from Chanshal to Sauru Lake can be rewarding for the nature lovers.

Other less explored treks abound in the region and trekkers who undertake are blessed with the unparalleled views of bright green woods of oak and deodar along with gorgeous apple orchards.

Moral Danda and Giri Kuppar are the other two easy treks that can be done in a day or two. Moral Danda trek has huge potential for bird watchers and cave explorers on the way. Giri Ganga has access with jeep able road From Kharapathar which is 6 Kms. Trail also leads to Bamta Village in Chopal Village. This area is a reserved forest of pine and golden oaks where one can view Bandarpunch range, Pir Panjal range, Baspa range and whole view of Pabbar valley.
